This has been hyped as potentially the best "zipper" mechanical slider out there, and it lives up to the hype and more. While the Titanium fingerprints rather easily, the solid feel and durability more than make up for it. I ultimately ended up getting the accessory with two balls and went with two firm springs for my tune, and the sound is just unreal. I can't wait to swap the ball out for tungsten. Not to mention how easy it is to work on. Getting your own personal tune setup is a breeze. You cannot go wrong with the CHOC; I guarantee it!
First I couldn’t believe this certain slider was in stock being that the Lautie Choc is probably the most popular fidget right now. I purchased it and got it within a week. That never happens bc everywhere is shipping from China it seems like. Anyway the team over at MetaEDC is just amazing. Trust them and give them your business you’ll be taken care of appropriately. This is verrry good. I use it a lot since received. Has a nice deep sound to it. Beas in it makes the slide very smooth. I recommend using the stronger spring that comes with it, not for the sound, but for the haptic feel. This is fairly loud. Pick up a dense/super dense peek plate. Will be a lot more quiet.
Installed the dual beach slot accessory today totally changed the game on the CHOC slider. Butter, smooth, and silky slide. The feedback is amazing. Highly recommend.
It's a very nice and well-made EDC. What I did not like about it is the minor play between the two slides. I was told that this is intentional to make the slider feel smoother; however, feeling it when sliding side to side is an annoyance for me. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with Lautie as a company that makes quality EDCs. I would purchase different fidgets from them in the future.
What can I say? It's a Lautie. This is my first venture into Lautie's premium fidgets (coming from cheap alternatives) and they live up to the hype!
This fidget is so smooth and clicky. The sound kind of reminds me of the noise you get when running a finger across the teeth of a plastic comb. It definitely tickles your brain and takes you to your happy place.
The order arrived quickly and was packaged very well. 10/10.
I chose the zirconium + stainless steel version of the Choc because I wanted a more tactile, “mechanical” feel rather than a quiet or soft fidget. The brass track gives very crisp feedback and the zirconium body feels dense and premium in hand.
There is a short break-in period (slight squeak and stiffness at first, which im sure is normal), but it quickly smooths out with use and becomes more consistent and satisfying. The clicks feel very controlled and the end stops are especially nice.
Overall, it’s a very high-quality tactile fidget if you want something with strong feedback and a solid metal feel. Not subtle, but very satisfying to use.
Very addicting to use, makes you not fidget with something else like your fingers. Does sound a bit too much (it makes it more addicting but will disturb others more so difficult to use in a silent office).
Perfect pocket fidget! Feels so good in hand and the materials are made beautifully. The standard stainless plate sounds lovely with the ‘ping’ it does on one direction and the click on the other.
One of the best mechanical sliders. A great zipper sound with subtle haptic vibration. Really elegant candy bar look. Nice textures with zirc and SS combo.
